The company that you join is vitally important; it is one of the most critical decisions you will ever make in your career. And which company is the right one, depends on who you are and what you are looking to achieve Every company is not right for every person. How do You Choose the Right Opportunity … The different types of opportunities can be broken into four categories. Depending on what outcome you’re looking for, will determine what category is the best one for you. Let’s take a look… Category 1 includes the money games, chain letters, the travel or gas cards, the grocery, stamp, or recipe clubs, and all the other “scams”. It’s obvious that no one of integrity wants anything to do with these. We never considered them…and hope you don’t either. Category 2 are the “old school” guys. These are the huge MLM companies that have “matured” in the market. These companies have been around quite a long time and will be around a long time more. There is nothing bad to say about these programs. They were the pioneers and we all stand on their shoulders. But we chose not to join an “old school” company … That is because of our personal goals. We weren’t prepared to leave our previous company just to make a few thousand dollars a month. As you can imagine, we already make a lot of money. We were looking for a new company to join because we wanted to create substantial wealth. And we don’t believe that today you can do that with the “old school” companies. Those days are in the past. Don’t misunderstand us...we believe they are fine companies. If you tell us you want to make an income of a few thousand dollars a month, we may suggest you join one of them. But if you tell us you want to create real wealth, then we believe they are not the best option for you. Those companies have reached maturity in the market and the “legacy” positions in them have already been filled. People who joined those companies early have made fortunes. If you want to duplicate that, we believe that ship has already sailed. Category 3 companies are the ones that have been around for years, just getting by financially, but have never really hit it big. Let’s not embarrass them by naming them here, but you know the companies we’re talking about. They have been hanging around for 7- 15 years, but never hit the “exponential growth curve”. They recruit by saying things like, “We’ve been around ten years and we haven’t even hit critical mass yet.” But the truth of the matter is, they never will. There are a million possible reasons why companies like these have never caught on. Maybe the product has no traction or attraction; the compensation plan produces the wrong behavior, it has weak management, or worse, bad management, or any one of many other possibilities. Companies just don’t hit critical mass after 12 or 15 years. If you‘re going to hit it, you’re going to do it early on. Obviously you don’t create wealth in companies that don’t hit it big, and even a steady income is hard work, so we certainly were not interested in joining one of these companies. What we were looking for was a Category 4 company… These are the new start-up companies that really have a fighting chance to become the next big thing. They are the future “old school,” multi-billion-dollar companies. We were looking for a Category 4 company – because “that’s where real true wealth is created, and new fortunes are made”.
